What is the Anchor Academy?

The Anchor Academy is a small learning community at Sarasota High School. Also, known as PBD (Performance Based Diploma), Anchor Academy offers students that are behind in credits the opportunity to get back on track towards graduation.

How Do I Get Into Anchor Academy?

What method of instructional delivery is used in the Anchor Academy?

Primary mode of instruction is computer based program called PLATO. Small group and individual instruction is also used.

Do I take all of my classes in the Anchor Academy?

All academic courses are offered within the Anchor small learning community. Students will take electives and CTE courses outside of the Anchor Academy.
