Message from the
Program Director

We would like to provide you with a new way to graduate in Sarasota County. The anchor Academy joins with the family of county wide high schools committed in lowering the drop out rate. The (PBDP) Performance-Based Diploma Program students are enrolled in a combination of state required academic courses for graduation and a vocational program which prepares the student for employment in a chosen occupational area. The academic areas are computer assisted instruction which permits students to progress at their own pace. We have had temendous success over the past 3 years, graduating numerous students that were contemplating dropping out as their only choice.

What We Do, What We Offer

Performance-Based Diploma Program students are

at their own pace. Students are mainstreamed into other
courses offered at each high school.
