Sr. Dinverno has been teaching at North Port High School for 5 years. Previously, he taught both in Los Angeles and Denver. He learned Spanish thru many travels to Mexico as a youth with his family as well as studying it in school. During college he majored in Spanish Literature and also Secondary Education. Sr. Dinverno enjoys traveling to Spanish speaking countries and has expanded his knowledge of the culture and language which he infuses into classroom teaching and learning. One of his favorite places to visit is Costa Rica where ecotourism and surfing are always included in his itinerary.
In regards to learning, Sr. Dinverno considers himself a lifelong learner. He puts himself in the student perspective asking himself often if he would enjoy the class that day. Sr. Dinverno works to ensure all students feel safe in class and succeed. In order to do this, he always promotes strategies that focus on achieving the best qualities of next generation learning. |
