Book Fair
Oct 9 - 20  		Thank you for supporting Book Fair!

Lamarque students proved they were "wild for books" as they strolled through our Reading Rain Forest at the Book Fair October 9 through 20. From the proceeds of the sales, we were able to provide each classroom teacher with 2 books from their wishlists and 39 new books for the library. Plus, we have qualified for $5351.41 of materials from Scholastic for our Media Center. These funds have been used to order 208 new hardcovers, including picture books, chapter books and book series about dinosaurs, sports, American history, habitats, and more! Also from the book fair, we'll be getting reading copies of Scholastic Magazine for the Media Center next year. Plus, we'll soon be getting some exciting new display materials for the library, including a Wild About Books tapestry, Reading Time Face Puppets, character plush animals, and an incredible "Reading Cove", all to help stimulate the joy of reading.  Thank you Lamarque! And thanks to all the volunteers who made the Book Fair possible.
