Kindergarten through Grade 2 picks their favorites!
This year, our Kindergarten through 2nd grade students read all 8 of the Florida Reading Association best books for 2008-2009. They voted on their favorites, and here are the results:
3rd place: Woolbur
2nd place: Gooey Jellyfish by Natlie Lunis
1st place: Martina the Beautiful Cockroach: A Cuban Folktale retold by Carmen Agra Deedy
Grades 3 - 5 voting now!
Those students who read at least 3 of the 15 Sunshine State Young Readers (SSYRA) books, get to vote for their favorite. Over 100,000 students across the state participate in this reading incentive program.
