Progress reports come home this week.  It's hard to believe that we are half way through the first quarter.
We have only had four weeks of Reading and Math since we did not switch the first week of school.  We use the SuccessMaker Lab three days a week and the students really enjoy it.  The students have Media Center on Thursdays.  Help your child remember to return their books on that day if they are finished reading them.
Please check your child's agenda book nightly.  Empty the Yellow Friday Folder, sign and return it on Monday.  I have also begun a behavior log.  It is on the back of the Friday Folder.  This will help keep track of outstanding character for our Renaissance awards.
This week we begin our Unit on Matter in Science.  I have found it more productive to teach one unite of Social Studies and then switch to Science for one unit. The children really seem to enjoy Science so far!
