Class Schedule
We have a very busy day this year in kindergarten. The children are in a routine and we get a lot accomplished during the day. It's a long day, but they work hard up until clean up time. This group is working well together and helping each other at literacy centers while I work with small groups throughout the day. I enjoy listening to the boys and girls interact with each other as they work as a team to master all skills needed to be a successful Kinder Kid!

Homework
Monday- Reading Folder (The students work on a book a work to help us learn our sight words. The reading folder goes home each Monday to be read with families and then brought back to school on Tuesday. The books stay at school in our book boxes so the children can read the over and over again. The boxes will be filled with great reading for the children to bring home at the end of the school year! Our flashcard sheets go home each Monday. These are kept at home for practice during the week and sent back to school each Friday.
Tuesday- Sight Word Practice Book- This folder has a list of sight words the children need to learn as well as little rhymes we work on in class. The children practice the sight word folders with their families and bring them back to school on Wednesday.
Wednesday- FAMILY NIGHT....NO HOMEWORK!
Thursday- Math homework folder to help us count by 1's, 2's, 5's and 10's to 100! Once the children master these skills, I will change their Thursday homework.
Friday- No HOMEWORK- Have a fun weekend.
*All homework is due back the next school day. If it's not returned, children miss a part of recess time.
